Session Details

What a studio session is, what to bring, and how booking works. If a time on the calendar does not fit, just ask — weekdays are flexible and early mornings are available.

What to wear

Bring a range of different options for clothing. The #1 rule for us is that you have to love it!

  • A few cuts, colors, and necklines.
  • Corporate: jacket, shirt, and tie options for men; blouse, dress, and jacket options for women.
  • Actors: do not worry about the season. T-shirts through light jackets all work.
  • Keep jewelry simple unless a piece is part of how you want to look. Studs and small necklaces are usually better than larger pieces.
  • Glasses: bring a couple pairs if you have them.
  • Shopping the day before is fine. Leave the tags on if you might return it. The studio has a steamer.

Hair and makeup

Makeup is highly recommended for women. Come in with your hair the way you want to look on a good day.

  • We have stylists available. If you would like your hair and makeup done here before your session, just let us know before hand.
  • Men: We don’t recommend makeup on men. We do recommend getting a haircut the day before or day of your session so your hair looks its best. Our professional retouching usually covers any issues that may arise skin-wise, so there are no worries in that dept.
  • Facial hair: come in with the growth you want photographed and clean cut.

What you keep

There is no per-photo charge for personal and professional use. You receive the photographs chosen from the session, retouched, in color and black and white. Commercial and advertising use is a separate conversation before the shoot.

Scheduling and payment

  • Monday–Friday, usually one or two sessions a day, starting around 9 a.m. Early mornings also available.
  • The full session fee holds the date. Book online, or write if the open times do not work. Weekends sometimes.
  • Hair and makeup, if you booked it, is paid on the day.
  • Cards, cash, check, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle accepted

Massive Wooden Structures

The earliest Japanese architecture was seen in prehistoric times in simple pit-houses and stores that were not adapted to a hunter-gatherer population.

Certainty or Confidence

Two examples of image are local edge orientation and local velocity in an image sequence.

Averageability

In addition to having certainty measures included in the representation, the representation of the corresponding feature values may itself be suitable.

Feature Vectors

In some applications it is not sufficient to extract only one type of feature to obtain the relevant information from the image data.

SAILING

Modern designs tend to have a very wide beam and a flat bottom aft, to provide buoyancy preventing an excessive heel angle and to promote surfing and planing.

FISHING

Both these stiffen the yacht and allow more sail to be carried in stronger winds. Depending on the type of race, such a yacht may have a crew of 15 or more.

Waves suitable for surfing are primarily found in the ocean, but can also be found in lakes or in rivers in the form of a standing wave or tidal bore. However, surfers can also utilize artificial waves such as those from boat wakes and the waves created in artificial wave pools.

The term surfing refers to the act of riding a wave, regardless of whether the wave is ridden with a board or without a board, and regardless of the stance used. The native peoples of the Pacific, for instance, surfed waves on alaia, paipo, and other such craft, and did so on their belly and knees.

Another prominent form of surfing is body boarding, when a surfer rides a wave on a bodyboard, either lying on their belly, drop knee, or sometimes even standing up on a body board.
